Challenges in Nordic Cartel Cases Helsinki 4-5 May 2006
Program Highlights
Cartels have come to play an ever more important role in every Nordic competition lawyer's daily practice. A cartel in one Nordic country very often has a wider dimension, affecting other countries in the region as well.
In this conference, legal experts from various European and national institutions and from the private sector will focus on topical and complex issues relating to cartel cases in the Nordic countries. Issues to be discussed will include information exchange between the authorities, investigation methods of the authorities, leniency, burden of proof, criminal sanctions, application of EC competition rules by national courts, as well as private enforcement. We believe that this conference will be of great interest for all Nordic lawyers involved in competition law.
The conference will be chaired by Jörgen Holgersson, Head of the Swedish Competition Authority 1988-1999 and now judge at the Swedish Market Court, Sweden.
